Allison is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at the Fraser Center who enjoys working with children, couples, and families. She is passionate about helping children feel understood and supported while also helping parents, caregivers, and families navigate the challenges that come with everyday life.

Allison earned her Master’s Degree in Family Sciences from the University of Kentucky, specializing in Couple and Family Therapy. Her path to becoming a therapist has been anything but linear. From growing up in New York and Florida, to teaching in Eastern Kentucky, pursuing graduate school in Lexington, and now making a home in Georgia, each chapter has shaped the way she connects with people and families. She brings that same curiosity, flexibility, and appreciation for life's unexpected adventures into her work with clients.

Before joining the Fraser Center, Allison worked in a multidisciplinary pediatric therapy clinic serving children, adolescents, and young adults ages 3–21. She is currently working toward her Registered Play Therapist credential and is AutPlay certified. Allison especially enjoys working with younger children and incorporating play-based approaches to help children express themselves, build emotional regulation skills, and develop healthy coping strategies.

She believes that supporting children also means supporting the people who care for them. Allison enjoys working collaboratively with parents and caregivers and helping families better understand their children, strengthen their relationships, and navigate life's big and small challenges. Her goal is to create a warm, supportive environment where children and families feel comfortable being themselves.

Outside of work, Allison enjoys crafting, baking, photography, and spending time with her partner and twin daughters. She never passes up a local coffee shop or bookstore and is always happy to add another book to her reading list.

A few of Allison’s favorite books for parents and caregivers:

  • Raising Kids with Big, Baffling Behaviors by Robyn Gobbel

  • The Whole-Brain Child by Daniel J. Siegel and Tina Payne Bryson

  • Good Inside by Dr. Becky Kennedy

Words Allison likes to keep in mind:

“Everything is figureoutable.”

“Focus on the donut, not the hole.”

“Be the thermostat, not the thermometer.”
