Dawn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, graduating with a Master of Social Work Degree from Fayetteville State University, in 2011. With a concentration in Mental Health, she currently provides outpatient therapy to children, adolescents, and adults.
Growing up in a Military family, she understands some of the unique challenges experienced by service members, spouses, and children, and enjoys supporting this community. Her experience also includes working with a variety of concerns, such as anxiety, depression, parenting, relationship issues, and phase of life changes/transition in both children and adults.
Dawn is also trained and certified as a Trauma Focused Therapist, which is an evidenced-based treatment approach utilized to support children, adolescents, and their caregivers as they strive to overcome trauma related experiences. This is referred to as, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
Dawn is married, and a mother of two daughters. Having both a teenager and a toddler keeps her life very full and active, but she enjoys every minute of the time they have together. Her experiences as a therapist, as well as a wife/mother influence her ability to understand the importance of meeting you where you are, and creating a plan that is specific to your goals to meet your needs.
