Teresa Andres holds a Master of Education with an emphasis in Community Counseling degree from Georgia Southern University.
Teresa currently works directly with adult clients who attend our Substance Abuse Treatment Program. She is also working under supervision to become a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Teresa has a passion for counseling and desires to encourage and empower her clients. She has previously worked in both inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment settings. Additionally, Teresa has prior experience working with at-risk youth and experience as a corporate trainer, teaching employers/employees communication and leadership best practices.
Teresa utilizes Person-Centered Therapy along with Psychoeducation, Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. Upon request, she offers Christian counseling to those who prefer a faith-based perspective.
Teresa enjoys playing tennis and spending time with family, especially her two grandsons.
When working with clients for whom spirituality is important, Teresa often recommends the books Imagine That by Dewey Friedel and Destined to Reign by Joseph Prince.
